Mission Statement

The Homeless And Poor People’s Initiative is a registered Non Profit Organisation (NPO), and a Registered Trust that has been set up to provide affordable natural building and sustainable technology services by advising, teaching, and training poor and homeless people and communities in underdeveloped countries throughout the world. This is achieved by working with NGO’s, NPO’s, Charitable Organisations, and Government agencies.

Our experience on projects has shown that it is possible for us to save significant amounts of the allocated funds by advising and training people and communities in more practical, efficient, and affordable methods of natural building construction using locally available materials wherever possible, which are more suitable to their indigenous environment and climate, and provide a more comfortable and habitable building. This means that allocated funds can go further to provide more help in the community.

Constructing with natural materials not only saves money, it can also reduce the carbon footprint of a building by up to 80% compared to one built with cement.
