Mission Statement

The Homeless And Poor People’s Initiative is a registered Non Profit Organisation (NPO), and a Registered Trust that has been set up to provide affordable natural building and sustainable technology services by advising, teaching and training poor and homeless people and communities in underdeveloped countries throughout the world. This is achieved by working with NGO’s, NPO’s, Charitable Organisations, and Government agencies.

Our experience on projects has shown that it is possible for us to save significant amounts of the allocated funds by advising and training people and communities in more practical and efficient methods of natural building construction using locally available materials wherever possible that are more suitable to their indigenous environment and climate. This means that allocated funds can go further to provide more help in the community.

Building with natural materials not only saves money, it can also reduce the carbon footprint of a house by up to 80% compared to one built with cement, thereby reducing greenhouse gases.
